Now little kids have another reason to watch the Super Bowl beyond the halftime show.
Pokemon posted an extended version of its Super Bowl commercial on Monday, of which a 30-second spot will run early in the third quarter, AdWeek reported.
The spot begins like a mishmash of aspirational Gatorade and Nike ads, with young competitors declaring, "I can do that." Then we reach the reveal, a stadium where the Pokemon universe gathers for battle.
Pokemon is celebrating its 20th anniversary, and it went big for the big game. Of course you can afford to when you've sold 275 million video games and 21.5 billion TCG cards worldwide.
