East Coast Storms: As People Dig Out, More Snow Is Set To Come (VIDEO)

As Northeast Deals With Record Snowfall, More Expected This Weekend

As if Wednesday's snow storm that walloped the East Coast with up to 19 inches landing in New York wasn't enough, more snow is predicted for the weekend across the northeast.

More snow is predicted for the northeast corridor of Washington, D.C., Philadelphia and New York, with small accumulations occurring throughout the weekend. For a full weather forecast click here.

Meanwhile, New York-area airports faced 2,142 flight cancellations on Wednesday and Thursday alone, according to Reuters, and even the Statue of Liberty was closed to visitors. 1,500 people were trapped overnight at the Philadelphia airport on Wednesday. Even airports as far as Miami were facing cancellations through Thursday night, according to the Miami Herald.

Psychologists, meanwhile, are touting the psychological downsides of snow, claiming people may become irritable and not sleep as well. It's not just psychologists and individuals who are stressed: Amazingly, New York has already blown through its annual $38 million snow-clearing budget.
