Potato The Math Whiz Dog: Chinese Samoyed Does Math, Memorizes Numbers (VIDEO)

WATCH: Dog Is A Math Whiz

Solving math problems will rarely give a person celebrity status. It can, however, make a dog a star.

In the Jiangsu province of China, Lu Zesheng cares for Potato, a 2-year-old Samoyed who he says can add, subtract, multiply and divide.

The Dog Files explains the way Potato's math skills work:

The concept is that Lu poses a question and Potato barks the answer. For example when asked “How much is 3.44 plus 3.56?”, the dog gives the result by barking seven times.

According to NTD TV, who filmed the video above, Potato's skills don't stop there. The dog successfully memorized the cameraman's cell phone number, reportedly recalling it to the specific digit when asked.

Zesheng claims that Potato also has a great long-term memory, the Daily Mail reported.

In the video, Zesheng asks Potato the number of digits in 10 million. In response, the dog barks eight times.

If only he could also do our taxes for us.
