Saudi Prince To Donate 10,000 Houses And 10,000 Cars As Part Of Major Charitable Commitment

Days after Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud announced plans to give his entire $32 billion fortune to charity, he took steps to begin fulfilling that promise.

The royal, who is the CEO of investment conglomerate Kingdom Holding Company, took to Twitter last week to say that he will donate 10,000 houses and 10,000 cars to Saudi families in need through Alwaleed Philanthropies -- the charity organization which the prince heads.

Prospective beneficiaries can apply for the projects on the organization's website.

While these first steps in his charitable commitment touch on housing and transportation and will be carried out over a decade, Alwaleed's philanthropic organization is involved in projects that span several causes including women and youth empowerment, community development, disaster relief and intercultural understanding. His entire $32 billion fortune will reportedly go toward supporting these causes.

"It is a commitment without boundaries. A commitment to all humankind," the CEO said of his plans.
