After officially launching last March, The Lotus Flower has just moved into its brand new, shiny office in London!

Thanks to the incredible generosity of Digital Gurus, the Shoreditch-based digital recruitment agency, we’ve been given our very own space to work in the capital – for free.

This act of kindness means we can funnel all of our resources into funding more vulnerable women and girls, rather than on prohibitive office costs and overheads.

We’ve decided to call this enterprising new initiative #ProBonoWorkspace – and now we’re calling for other big businesses and brands to give exactly the same ‘helping hand’ to charities and social enterprises, by offering them free workspace too.

With the number of social good organisations rapidly increasing to ongoing global atrocity such as war, persecution and natural disaster, now is the time for asset-rich companies to show they care, too. As we’ve seen in Britain in the past few weeks, everyone has been pulling together in extraordinary ways to help victims of terror and tragedy, and #ProBonoWorkspace is the ideal way to keep pushing this message of hope and conciliation.

As The Lotus Flower discovered in recent months, finding and funding adequate office space in an expensive city like London can be a huge and daunting challenge. And when all you need is a couple of desks, internet access and a phone line, it makes sense for big businesses to dig in and share their resources.

We’ve been given the warmest welcome by Digital Gurus, and many of the staff have been curious to find out more about The Lotus Flower’s mission, and even get involved with our work. Just like us, Digital Gurus was first conceived by ambitious, committed individuals in a tiny spare room. So sharing their office space feels like a natural, cohesive fit.

Feel free to help us spread the word and get more companies joining in with #ProBonoWorkspace. It’s a win, win situation for everyone – and ultimately, can help us all spread a little more love in the world.

Big thank you to Digital Gurus!
