'Revolution' Kills Off One Of Its Main Characters, Or Does It? (VIDEO)

'Revolution' Kills One Of Its Main Characters

Sebastian Monroe has been a monster since the Day 1 on "Revolution," but he's shown a more human side in flashback sequences. This season, he softened a bit as well, though that may be because he lost his seat of power. That fall from grace came to its ultimate fate on the latest episode of "Revolution."

Monroe was sentenced to death by lethal injection, and it was Rachel and her father who carried out the sentence. Monroe's final words were, "I'm sorry." Buddy TV's Bill King thought this was "easily the best episode of the season thus far." He also questioned if "Revolution" would really kill off one of its most popular characters.

Rachel mixed the concoction that was injected into Monroe to kill him, and the episode closed with her digging up his grave, so it seems the one-time mad dictator will rise again. As The AV Club's Phil Dyess-Nugent put it, "I’d advise against splurging on any condolence telegrams just yet." After all, if Aaron can come back to life, why not Monroe? Apparently, nobody dies on this show anymore!

"Revolution" keeps piling on the twists, Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
