Rex Ryan Curses At Fan, Bill Belichick Insults Jets Defense After Patriots Win (VIDEO)

War Of Words: Rex Ryan And Bill Belichick Drop Curses After Game

New York Jets coach Rex Ryan is known for his freewheeling bombast, bold predictions and rabbling rousing sentiments. He is loud, loquacious and a tape recorder's dream.

In other words, he appears to be the opposite of the taciturn New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick, who rarely registers above a mumble when he deigns to answer questions during press conferences.

However, beneath their dissimilar exteriors, they may not be so different. After all, both made their names as defensive masterminds. And, as the aftermath of last night's matchup made clear, both coaches are not shy about foul language.

In the heated moments following the Patriots' 37-16 undressing of Ryan's Jets on national television, both NFL coaches were caught using language more accustomed to premium cable.

As Ryan exited the field, a fan shouted "Hey Rex, Belichick is better than you." As he passed by another fan's camera Ryan could be heard responding, "Shut the f--- up."

Before Patriots fans begin to lampoon Rex for his foul language, they should take a look at a report from Monday morning's New York Post, detailing some of Belichick's salty postgame banter.

Brian Costello of the Post quotes Belichick as saying, “Thirty-seven points on the best defense in the league, s--- my d---,” during the Pat's celebration.
