Rob Ford's TV Show Canceled After One Episode, Because Duh

To the surprise of no one, embattled Toronto Mayor Rob Ford's television show has been canceled after just one episode.

According to the Globe And Mail and NBC News, Sun News canceled "Ford Nation" even though the premiere brought in huge ratings for the network.

Globe And Mail reports:

Monday’s episode took five hours to record, and another eight hours to edit, making it an unusually expensive endeavour for a niche network that is in only about 40 per cent of Canadian households.

The talk show, starring the mayor and his brother Doug Ford, was announced just last week amid growing controversy over Ford's drug use.

On Monday, Toronto's City Council voted to strip Ford of most of his powers, after the mayor knocked over a council member earlier in the day and previously admitting to using crack cocaine. Ford told "Today" show anchor Matt Lauer on Tuesday that he was not seeking help through an alcohol or drug treatment program.
