Robin Roberts To Make 'Good Morning America' Announcement

'GMA' Teases Big Robin Roberts Announcement

Robin Roberts teased some big news on "Good Morning America," further fueling speculation that she will be returning to the show in the near future.

Roberts has been on medical leave from "GMA" while she undergoes treatment for MDS, a rare blood and bone marrow disorder, since the end of August. On Friday, she tweeted: "Happy Friday. Looking forward to sharing news of my recovery with you on Monday @GMA. Have a fantastic weekend! Blessings..X0."

The show's official Twitter account also said, "We've got a special announcement coming from @RobinRoberts Monday on @GMA. Be sure to tune in!"

News of the impending announcement comes after Roberts confirmed that she would be going back to "GMA" soon. On Thursday, she ended a tweet by saying, "See you VERY soon. :-)" Later on Facebook, she addressed speculation about her return. "In the coming days on GMA we will give you details about my return," Roberts wrote. "I'm so excited! Thank you for your patience and continued prayers. 'All will be serene in 2013' XO."

Roberts received a bone marrow transplant from her sister Sally in September. She has kept viewers updated on her recovery, and reported that her body was responding well to treatment.
