Hamburglar isn't the only criminal at McDonald's.

Now, Ronald McDonald is in trouble with the law.

It's not the lovable McDonald's mascot, though, just an English man who happens to be named Ronald McDonald. He's violated a restraining order, filed by his wife, by following her into a McDonald's restaurant in Kent, according to the Isle of Thanet Gazette.

The 50-year-old man admitted to the crime on Tuesday. He also breached conditions of his bail by texting her.

“He regrets the incident," Will Bodiam, McDonald's lawyer said. "The defendant takes responsibility for the breach. He said to me he is totally remorseful about the whole situation.”

The Mirror reports that court staff had to stifle their laughter when details of the case were revealed.

McDonald got an 86-day suspended sentence.

The restraining order was imposed after McDonald was accused of assaulting his wife and another woman on September 11.

Ronald McDonald, the mascot, has had his name dragged through the mud in the past, in the form of not-so-funny NSFW memes.

But he is still important to youngsters nationwide, as can be seen in the video below.
