This Kitty's Disability Makes Her All The More Irresistible

Roux the cat may have been born with just two legs, but she certainly hasn't let that stop her from being a playful, active and Insta-famous kitty.

Roux's owner, Jackie Deak, told Meowbox that Roux was born with only two legs due to a congenital abnormality -- but that disability didn't sway Deak from rescuing her.

"When I saw her it was absolutely love at first sight," she said.

The almost 2-year-old kitty lives in New Orleans and has adapted well to her disadvantage. She's incredibly mobile, and even has her own special way of cleaning her face. She walks around on her hind legs, leaps onto tables, pounces on toy mice and lazes about the house just like any other cat.

And her 283,000 adoring followers are delighted to watch her every move, totally entranced by the way Roux has adapted to her body. In the comments, people compare her to a bunny, a kangaroo, and even a fluffy, little Tyrannosaurus rex.

As Deak notes in an Instagram caption, Roux's missing legs don't make her any less of a cat, just a little more unique. "Different, not less," she wrote.
