A splendid dose of fairy tales and pretty princesses in far away lands will have us all feeling a bit majestic. All you need are a few sovereign staples to toast Prince William and Princess-to-be Kate Middleton as they tie the knot!

No royal secretary? Scan the invite, (find copies on-line), add your guests names, and if your royal footmen are preoccupied, drop them in the mail, or e-mail them out.

Royal Toppers
In England, hats are De riguer at weddings, garden parties, teas, and Ascot.
We put hats on for derby, and that seems to be it. But we simply must have a hat for the royal wedding. If your royal budget doesn't allow picking one up from a designer such as Susan van derLinde of Manhattan or high end shops, use the designs as inspiration and pop into your local craft store, grab a few feathers and faux flowers, and you'll be topped off royally.

What to serve? Although canapés, champagne and cake is the menu at the Queens house, what you serve in your palace is up to you. A Traditional English breakfast calls for bangers and mash, good pork sausages and mashed potatoes, but eggs with good thick bacon is equally substantial, especially if you're heading to the office with a bit of a royal buzz!

Fresh scones with jams and clotted crème alongside a pot of strong English tea make any morning magnificent. Easy and delish, what more could a royal ask for? Stonewall Kitchens Orange Cranberry scone mix and Tangerine marmalade has just the right bite of citrus and sweet. No time? Order some delightful cookies like the lemon daisies from Dancing Deer.

For easy but divine Clotted crème, whip 2 cups heavy crèam with 1 tsp. vanilla until stiff peaks form, fold in ½ cup creme fraiche and serve.

Now, onto the royal toast! Champagne cocktails are protocol, and this is splendid indeed! In a pitcher mix 3 cups passion fruit nectar, 2 cups pineapple juice, and 1 cup orange liqueur. Chill until ready to serve. To serve, pour mixer into each champagne glass until ¼ full. Top with champagne and serve.

Cheers!
