Rupert Grint Compares Himself To Ron, Talks Ice Cream Truck and Terrifying Aging

Rupert Grint Says He's Very Similar To Ron Weasley

As we've all seen, the cast of 'Harry Potter' has been doing this for a long time. And while watching the cast grow up in front of our eyes has been wonderful for us--it's been pretty hard on them.

In cover stories, Emma Watson tried to reconcile the difference between herself and her character. Of course, for Watson, things kind of took off and this isn't the first time we've tried to "get to know her." But what about that enigmatic Rupert Grint?

Self-described 'shy' guy, Grint muses on snogging his co-star, fame, fast-forward aging and his ice cream truck.

Turns out, in the beginning, Grint didn't want to be a celebrity or a ginger heart-throb; he wanted to be an ice cream man. Buying his ice cream truck was a wee-fantasy turned reality. If you became a international celebrity at 11, wouldn't you want one, too?

As the final installment of the film, one of the most talked about aspects is the epilogue where the cast ages 19 years. For Grint, this was a surreal experience. "Sitting in a makeup chair watching yourself gradually age. It was quite terrifying," he said.

The article also brings out his introspective side, exploring the similarities and the differences between himself and the ginger who stole hearts on Platform 9 and 3/4 all those many years ago.

"We've become this kind of Ron-pert thing, which I think will stay with me for a while," he said. "I think they'll always be a bit of Ron in me for the rest of my life."
