San Francisco Target Hiring 300 Employees, Opening In October (VIDEO)

IT'S COMING: San Francisco Target Is FINALLY Here

You guys, it's happening. Love it or hate it, the San Francisco Metreon CityTarget is FINALLY opening.

For years, San Franciscans have been plastering themselves to the boarded up windows of the Metreon, envisioning endless rows of bamboo bathroom furniture, cheap yoga pants and designer collaborations. And though the doors don't officially open until October, Target will hire 300 new employees to run the place this week.

According to the San Francisco Business Times, Target will host a job fair on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and will hire candidates on the spot.

Patch also reported on the fair, noting that Target Store Team Leader Brian Jess and Target Executive Team Leader Shannon Rosales will personally attend the event.

Our friends at Refinery 29 San Francisco took a hardhat tour of the sprawling 85,000-square-foot space last year, reporting on its 360-degree windows and impressive food court featuring La Boulange, Super Duper and Cako.

We've had our ups and downs with the mega retailer, specifically with its CEO's political contributions. (The store did launch an LGBT advocacy line one year later.) But for out-of-work San Franciscans and those who've forked over at least one paycheck to ZipCar for errands, the news couldn't be better.
