Sarah Palin Emails: Greta Van Susteren Skeptical About Media Approach

Van Susteren Skeptical About Media's Approach To Palin Emails

Greta Van Susteren expressed skepticism about the media's handling of the release of Sarah Palin's emails.

Many news organizations, including The Huffington Post, have asked readers to help them sift through the nearly 25,000 emails from Palin's days as Alaska Governor which were released on Friday. In a post on her Fox News blog, Van Susteren wondered what all the fuss was about.

"My guess is that if this were the Pentagon papers, neither news organization [referring to the New York Times and the Washington Post, which have both used crowdsourcing for the emails] would be outsourcing to others which might give you a bit of a hint as to whether they think themselves this is serious journalism or not," she wrote.

Van Susteren then wondered if the two papers had also scoured so carefully through the health care reform bill.

"Palin should not get 'special treatment' or a 'media colonoscopy' simply because the media can't get enough of her ...doesn't like her...or thinks it will spike readership or viewers to cover her," she wrote.
