Sarah Silverman Sings Broadway Medley Of Show Tunes From 'Les Miserables,' 'Annie,' 'Company' (VIDEO)

WATCH: Sarah Silverman Sings Broadway!

Sarah Silverman stopped by SiriusXM to appear on "Seth Speaks" yesterday, and while there sang a lovely medley of Broadway songs with piano accompaniment by host Seth Rudetsky.

Showing a different side of her personality than the brash social critic who recently staged the NAACP charity show "Live at Niggerhead" in Austin, Tex., Silverman serenaded an in-studio audience with a medley of her favorite showtunes: "On My Own" from "Les Miserables," "I Don't Need Anything But You" from Annie, "The Ladies Who Lunch" from "Company," and "Dulcinea" and "Aldonza" from "The Man of La Mancha."

Both Rudetsky and Silverman express delighted surprise that Silverman remembers the lyrics to these songs, which she said she learned as a little girl. She also provides personal commentary: "I thought of my history teacher Mr. Burke when I would sing this," Silverman interjects while crooning "On My Own."

Fans of Silverman know that she's prone to Broadway-style interludes in her comedy. Both her stand-up special "Jesus is Magic" and her canceled Comedy Central show "The Sarah Silverman Progam" include frequent musical interludes, although Silverman's songs tend to be less about romance and more about race and/or body hair. In the video below, she tells Rudetsky about her lifelong love affair with Broadway and her musical theater roots.
