Seth Meyers: If Michael Avenetti Was Such a Low Life, Trump Would've Hired Him

The "Late Night" host also took issue with the president on his characterization of the Brett Kavanaugh confirmation process.

Donald Trump had a day full of gaffes and blunders on Wednesday, but according to “Late Night” host Seth Meyers, the president “went off the rails” in a late afternoon news conference when he attacked the women who have accused U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct.

Trump called the entire process a conspiracy and described the Democrats’ actions as “a big fat con job.”

“A big fat con job? I’m sure those were the results from Trump’s physical,” Meyers said.

Trump then described Stormy Daniels’ lawyer Michael Avenatti, who also represents one of Kavanaugh’s accusers, as a “low life.”

“Oh, c’mon,” Meyers said. “If he was such a low life, you would have hired him.”
