Seventeen-Year-Old Sets Haggis Speed Eating Record

Seventeen-year-old John Davis ate one pound of haggis in two minutes, beating 30 other competitors in the inaugural Edinburgh International Haggis Championship. Footage is being sent to Guinness World Records to confirm his win.

Although one pound may not seem like much, haggis is a very rich delicacy made from sheep stomach, liver, heart and tongue, combined with onion, suet and spices.

This was the first time Davis entered a speed eating contest and found that not being able to drink water was the hardest part.
