Local Natives
After a period of New York centric lo-fi, fuzz fueled indie, thi past year LA has made sure to remind New York that saccharine or surfy, harmony driven music sounds kind of nice too. Local Natives are one of the latest in the trend of folky-troupes from the west coast. Pitchfork called them the west coast's Grizzly Bear, which sounds about right. Pulsing and pretty, they'll sound great on Governors Island.
