'SNL' Resurrects Elaine From 'Seinfeld' To Yada Yada With Larry David's Bernie Sanders

Benes meets Bernie.

This weekend's "Saturday Night Live” returned to the Democratic debate in Brooklyn with some special appearances from "real New Yorkers" to keep the candidates on their toes.

But instead of your chatty cab driver who invited himself to your happy hour or that guy who touches himself on the L train, "SNL" resurrected Elaine Benes from "Seinfeld" and Rachel Green from "Friends."

Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who returned as host for the third time since her stint as a regular cast member in the '80s, broke out her curling iron and her best blazer to take Larry David's Bernie Sanders to task over his plan to break up the big banks.

“Once I’m elected president, I’ll have a nice schvitz in the White House gym, then I'll go to the big banks, I’ll sit them down and yada yada yada, they’ll be broken up,” Sanders explained.

Unsatisfied with the yada yada, she turned her attention to Kate McKinnon's Hillary, who quickly declared Elaine to be her "sister-friend."

"Doesn’t it suck to be the only girl in a group of guys?" Elaine asked, before reassuring, "Don’t worry, because everyone thinks you are by far the funniest -- I mean, the most qualified."
