A Young Steph Curry Predicted His Future In A 1990s Burger King Ad

Now people are asking for a Steph-Riley sequel.

In Stephen Curry's mind, his future as a basketball star has never been in doubt. And now, there's video proof of it, via a 1990s Burger King commercial featuring "Dell Curry and son" which CSN Bay Area dug up and aired during Monday night's Charlotte Hornets-Golden State Warriors game in Oakland.

"What do you want to be when you grow up?" asks Dell Curry to his young son in the ad's opening line. Eager and immediately -- almost as if it was rehearsed (well, of course it was) -- a young Stephen replies, "A basketball player."

Thus the genesis of Stephen Curry, transcendent NBA shooter, was aired for all to see in the 1990s. According to the end of the ad, all little Curry needs to become a great player like his pops is a certain attitude: "You've really got to be hungry for it," Dell tells his son.

Wait, hungry for Burger King or NBA stardom? Ah, well.

Given the massive reaction to the Burger King clip, perhaps a sequel is in order?

"Shut down the Internet" may be an understatement here.
