'Survivor: Blood Vs. Water': Jeff Probst Lashes Out At Quitter (VIDEO)

Jeff Probst Lashes Out At 'Survivor' Quitter

Once a quitter, always a quitter. Colton Cumbie returned to "Survivor: Blood vs. Water," but he could only make it seven days. He moped around camp when he found out his tribe didn't want to play the game the way he wanted to. And he proved that the nasty person who emerged his first time around was still in there. And then out of nowhere, he burst into tears and decided to quit the game.

Jeff Probst was genuinely irritated by this, lashing out at Colton in a more candid and opinionated way than usual. Probst has made it well known that he hates quitters -- after all, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity -- but he was especially vicious with Colton. Especially because this was Colton's second time quitting. As Probst suggested, Colton faked appendicitis to get out of the game his first time out. This time, he simply walked away.

“Lots of people like to watch adventure. It doesn’t necessarily mean they should get up off the couch," Jeff said. "I’m now convinced that Colton is the guy that never should’ve got up off the couch. We brought a quitter back, and we got a quit again.”

“I don’t care what y’all say," Colton said, leaving in tears.

Buddy TV's Gina Pusatera loved "harsh Jeff" attacking Colton. "Don't let the door hit you on the way out, C," she wrote. Entertainment Weekly's Dalton Ross called it a "delicious bit of theater." He added, "We needed this. As viewers, we’ve been screaming through our TV screens for two seasons at this guy. Had Probst not given him the business on the way out, it would have been super frustrating. In a sense, Probst became our voice in that moment.”

The competition continues on "Survivor: Blood vs. Water," Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
