Swedish House Mafia, 'Greyhound': House Music Trio Releases Collaboration With Absolut (VIDEO)

Swedish House Mafia, the electronic dance music act known best for being the first DJ's to headline a show at Madison Square Garden, has created an original song for Absolut's new spirit, Absolut Greyhound.

Absolut claims Jay-Z, Spike Jonze and Andy Warhol as past collaborators, and now the boys from Sweden have joined the company's roster of artists.

The song, also called "Greyhound" is a bit more understated than Swedish House Mafia's typical instrumentals. Though it of course features the familiar intro-buildup-breakdown house music formula, the bass drop is far more subdued than on tracks like groups most recent banger, "Antidote."

Perhaps more intriguing than the track itself is the accompanying video, a Sci-Fi-inspired, desert dog race. Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Angello and Axwell appear underground and activate complex laser consoles from which they control the three dogs. As the dogs take off above ground, the DJ/jockeys move their arms somewhat awkwardly, seemingly propelling their pups to run faster.

"Greyhound" was first played by the DJ's as part of the intro for their Madison Square Garden show in December, and Ingrosso said the reaction to the song was "amazing."

"It gave us goosebumps!" the DJ added.

The single is currently available for download in iTunes. Swedish House Mafia will complete a nine hour show in London on July 14. The 65,000 guest concert will be at Milton Keynes National Bowl, where Oasis, Metallica, Green Day and Eminem have previously performed. Fellow producers Calvin Harris and 17-year-old French pop-house phenomenon Madeon will be among the supporting acts.
