'Teen Beach Movie' Clip: Disney Channel Reveals Sneak Peek Of New Original Movie (VIDEO)

POLL: Is This The Next 'High School Musical'?

Just in time for summer, Disney has finally released a sneak peek into their new original movie, "Teen Beach Movie" -- and by the looks of it, it might just have the potential to rival the wildly successful "High School Musical" trilogy (but with a lot more sand, of course).

The movie, which features "Austin & Ally" star Ross Lynch and Maia Mitchell of "The Fosters," follows the story of two friends who are transported into "Wet Side Story," their favorite beach musical.

In the sneak peak, we see Ross showing off his moves while singing on the dance floor, giving us some major "HSM" whiplash (but in a good way). Instead of in high school hallways, the teen surfer is breaking it down on the beach with friends, wearing "Grease"-style leather jackets and neck scarves.

"'Teen Beach Movie' was a lot of fun because we were in Puerto Rico on an island," Ross Lynch told The Huffington Post about filming. "You can't even call it work!"

The TV movie premieres July 19.

Take our poll below and tell us, do you think "Teen Beach Movie" is going to be just as good -- if not better -- than "High School Musical"? Sound off in the comments or tweet @HuffPostTeen!
