Fans of MTV's hit show "Awkward," you may want to listen up. If you help Beau Mirchoff take home a coveted surfboard for Choice Breakout Star during this weekend's Teen Choice Awards, then more shirtless Matty may be in your future.
Matty may be the emotionally indecisive third wheel in "Awkward," but Mirchoff definitely knows what he wants -- and how to get it. Not only did he make a viral video to rally his fans' support, but he recently told The Huffington Post that if he won a Teen Choice Award, he'd turn it into a head-turning fashion statement. If Kanye West can have diamonds encrusted on his teeth, then surly Mirchoff can wear his surfboard around his neck, right?

I’m not sure if I’m allowed to say who I’ve voted for.
[Laughs] I don’t think you have to stay anonymous!
How badly do you want that giant surfboard?
I know it’s bad that I want validation from a surfboard, but I don’t care. You know how people put things on their chains? I want to put it on a big chain and carry it around my neck. I’d get a good workout at least!
Will it pop up on Season 3 of "Awkward.?"
Oh, it will be everywhere! Matty is a surfer, but that’s never been mentioned in the show. Maybe they’ll bring that out next year because I’ll refuse to let go of my surfboard. And after every conversation, I’ll thank my fans.
