I don't know about you guys, but I sure missed my weekly Terrell posts...no?...am I the only one that misses that?...anyway, I knew I could count on him to give me post-worthy content right when I needed it.
Terrell has signed with Wilhelmina, a modeling agency that will represent him as he seeks endorsements and sponsorship deals in the personal care and fashion industries. The firm promotes boxer Roy jones Jr., NBA star Andrei Kirilenko and U.S. speedskater Allison Baver. Terrell didn't let me down when commenting on his newest gig:
"When you've got some good looks like myself, you've got to take full advantage of it," Owens said Wednesday.
Oh, there's the T.O. we know and love. He's been surprisingly quiet and reserved this season (it must be all of our heart-to-hearts) but it's always nice to get a glimpse of the T.O. everybody tried to warn Bills fans about, but has yet to emerge.
In other Terrell news, he's said that he is open to resigning with the Bills in 2010. He said he would like to play at least two more seasons before calling it quits and that resigning with the Bills will remain an option.
"I'm not going to limit myself and discount any type of situation. I know I can play it's all about the opportunities and the right system. I can flourish anywhere," said Owens.
Proving all the naysayers and haters wrong, it seems that Owens has taken the Bills' 2009 flop of a season in stride and thinks that with tweaks to the O-line plus time to grow and improve could produce what he needs to make us break out the popcorn.
"If you really assess what has happened throughout the course of the season, number one we're young on the offensive line and you add in all the injuries that we've had, we've had guys that have been courageous on the front line that have played out of position every week," said Owens. Every week we've had a different offensive line. Given that I feel if we had a good front line I feel our record would be definitely different."
Who would have thought that Terrell Owens would be the voice of reason and speak the words that every Bills fan who desperately wants to believe in their team, thinks? Imagine if our OLs could figure out how to play the game during the offseason and we either signed a good QB or groomed Fitzpatrick... season No. 2 with Terrell might be the charm.
