The casino-free Trump outpost pulls out all the stops, with family- and pet-friendly programs. For Fido, the hotel offers doggy room service dining and dog beds. Kids can play while parents at the third-floor pool with semi-private cabanas and mountain views. With daily shuttles to Las Vegas’ shopping destinations, the hotel has everyone’s needs in mind.
Not on the Strip but a mere block from it, the gaming-free, all-suite Vdara is connected to the Bellagio and the Aria Las Vegas by indoor and outdoor walkways, respectively. The smallest suite here is the size of your average New York City apartment—582 square feet—and the hotel even has long-term rentals for devoted fans. The 18,000-square-foot ESPA Spa and Salon has its loyal customers, as does the rooftop bar with private cabanas.
8. Aria
This mega-hotel at the CityCenter has all the fixings: more than 4,000 rooms in a Five Diamond hotel, 19 restaurants, three pools, and a spa where you can recline on Japanese stone beds. Aria also has its own resident fine art collection, plus four nightlife spots. A light-up fountain greets you at the entrance, followed by sculptor Maya Lin’s massive installation, Silver River.
With a modern vibe and quirky amenities—like cigarette machines that have been repurposed to dispense art pieces—the Cosmopolitan, open since 2010, provides a welcome respite from the theme-iness of other hotels on the Strip. High-end rooms feature wraparound private terraces with skyline views. And it’s all about the nightlife here: Among your options is a three-story bar built inside a giant chandelier, and a hybrid nightclub/lounge/performance venue Rose. Rabbit. Lie.
6. Bellagio
An eight-and-a-half-acre manmade lake dominates the grounds of this casino-resort, which erupts into a dazzling choreographed fountain display every 15 to 30 minutes. It’s the best free entertainment to be had on the Strip, but you have to go inside for the real glamour. The entryway is dominated by artist Dale Chihuly’s hand-blown glass sculpture, and the casino is home to a legendary high-stakes poker room. Take in Cirque du Soleil’s embedded show, O, and stay in the Five Diamond–winning comfort of the Bellagio’s Tuscan-style suites and villas.
