'The Closer' Finale: Kyra Sedgwick's Emotional Goodbye Video

All good things must come to an end, even "The Closer." Series star Kyra Sedgwick, who has played Brenda Leigh Johnson for seven seasons, is saying goodbye to the character who has won millions of hearts -- and awards.

"I certainly think that this last season, these last six episodes, the journey is right," Sedgwick says in the video below. "The ending is right."

This new behind-the-scenes video captures a very emotional Sedgwick as she wraps production on the TNT series. Most stars take some trinkets from the set home when shows wrap, but Sedwigck said she can't think of a material possession that would make saying goodbye easier. Instead, she wants to take everybody from the cast and crew with her. "I'd love to box them all up and take them home," she says.

And to the fans, she had this to say: "We'll miss you watching us. We thank you for coming along."

"The Closer" kicks off its final six episodes on July 9, 9 p.m. ET on TNT.
