On "The Vampire Diaries," Silas discovered that "the anchor" -- the object that could help bring Bonnie back to life -- wasn't a thing after all. It was a person. More specifically, it was his one true love who he'd thought dead for 2,000 years. Only Amara didn't die. She'd been trapped in stone all that time.
But then something unexpected happened. When she discovered that Silas had taken the cure, Amara made a quick decision. With the cure running through his veins, she decided that she needed it, and so she bit into his neck and began to drink. But this created a new problem. Now Amara is human, and being targeted by all kinds of powerful forces.
To make things even more complicated, Amara is the source of all the female doppelgangers, meaning she looks just like Elena and Katherine. At this rate, we're going to need different-colored masks like the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" to tell them apart.
Zap2It's Sydney Bucksbaum was a little overwhelmed by all that happened. "So Amara is alive, cured, human, crazy, and the anchor," she wrote. "We don't know what happened to Silas ... maybe he's dead? Maybe he magically survived his draining like Kat? ... a lot happened...” E! Online's Tierney Bricker agreed, calling Amara's resurrection one of the "OMG TV Moments" of the night.
