'The X Factor': Fergie Says No To Judge Spot

No 'X Factor' For Fergie

You won't be seeing Fergie sitting at the judges' table on "The X Factor" for Season 2.

"I know there were talks last season and this season,” Fergie said. “But ... Simon said before [that] timing is everything and it’s not the right time for me."

The "Glamorous" singer explained she just doesn't have the time to make the full commitment, saying it wouldn't be fair to the contestants.

Fergie is just the latest superstar to be rumored to judge "The X Factor." LeAnn Rimes' husband Eddie Cibrian confirmed that she is in discussions. "They've been talking," Cibrian told "Extra." "I have no idea what's going on with that. I think they've been talking to a lot of people."

George Clooney's girlfriend, former pro wrestler Stacy Keibler, is also rumored to be in talks for Season 2 of "The X Factor." However, she could be up for the hosting spot, which "Glee" star Darren Criss has already turned down.

Janet Jackson was also rumored to be joining "The X Factor," but she officially turned down the gig. Jackson told TheInsider.com that she is "very flattered that X Factor let me know that I was being considered for next season, but it just wouldn't be possible."

Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid remain the only two original judges returning for Season 2. Cowell said he's looking for two big names to join the panel, and two hosts, but the rumors change often.

One of the biggest names currently circling the project: Britney Spears.

No official judges or hosts have been named to replace Abdul, Scherzinger and Jones.
