What: This art exhibition is curated by none other than Mike D of the Beastie Boys. 17 different artists have churned out exhibits heavy on motion and color. Music, of course, is a part of D's 17-day show, and performances throughout include Santigold, Z-Trip, Diplo and others. Also, an interactive coffee bar and a pop-up restaurant from Chef Roy Choi from Thursdays through Sundays. Crafty! (See videos below.)

Seun (Son Of Fela) Kuti
What: All music connoisseurs have much respect the Afrobeat king, Fela Kuti. Now his son, Seun Kuti, is keeping the energizing funk alive and traveling with power ensemble Egypt 80. His latest album, "From Africa With Fury," was produced by Brian Eno. 'Nough said. (Have a listen below.)

Tadasana Yoga & Music Festival
What: While tickets aren't exactly cheap (day passes are $99), yoga enthusiasts are flocking to this massive three-day festival that offers live music, every kind of yoga, an incredible speaker series, meditation and possible enlightenment. Plus, they're offering a free bike valet for those who want to stay Zen while getting there!

Feast On Books
What: The Los Angeles Times Festival of Books might as well be an LA holiday. Literary Angelenos await the line-up like music junkies await Coachella's. Check out iVolunteer's guide to volunteering at the event, and don't miss the Young Literati's "after-party"!

Radio Break
What: This is the last weekend of Radio Break's two-week-long "exhibition on the air," an art project meant to "connect participants with the ambient sounds of the city, inviting them to tune in to its history, noise, narratives, and music."

Artistic Earth Day
What: Earth Day is wonderful, and LACMA makes it more wonderful. Come to the museum for a day of artist-led workshops, bike-related films, tours of the collection for families and adults, storytelling, sketching from nature and a guided walkthrough of the natural art on campus. How to get there? Why, a community-led bike ride of course!

"Surviving Progress"
What: Earth Day or not, this eco-leaning documentary looks like a must-see (trailer above). Martin Scorsese's latest, this beautifully filmed doc looks at how our own technological progress threatens the existence of the planet. Yes, it's scary, but there's hope. According to one man in the film, we can "write software for life and take over evolution." (See trailer below.)
