This Pregnancy Test App Will Entertain You While You Wait For Your Results

The outcome will be sent straight to your phone, too.

Waiting for the results of a pregnancy test can be stressful, especially when there are three seemingly endless minutes between you and your future.

First Response understands the frustration. The company has introduced the first ever "Pregnancy Pro" test sticks that use Bluetooth technology to connect to a phone app and deliver your results more clearly.

The actual test works just like any other pregnancy test on the market -- to put it crudely, you still pee on a stick.

But a special iOS and Android app syncs with the test and delivers the results of your urine sample straight to your phone, making it almost impossible to misinterpret the answer.

While they haven't found a solution to the three minutes it takes to analyze the results, the app provides you with videos and helpful information while you wait.

For example, you can select 'Calm me' to ease your nerves with soothing visuals, or 'Educate me' to learn quick facts about pregnancy and fertility. And if you just want to take your mind off the entire process, you can select 'Entertain me' for a much-needed distraction.

After three minutes, the app will clearly tell you if you're pregnant or not. If the test is positive, you can find information about what to expect when you're expecting, and start tracking the baby's due date.

If it's negative, the app suggests steps to take, and remains a useful tool by keeping a record of your period cycle.

Just like ordinary tests, the Pregnancy Pro digital stick will detect if you're pregnant as early as six days before your missed period and delivers accurate results 99 percent of the time. But at $15 to $22 per test, it's significantly pricier than traditional varieties, so it's up to you if a little extra reassurance and information is worth the difference.
