One of my favorite quotes is, "If something is important to you, you'll find a way. If it's not, you'll find an excuse." I get it you're busy, we're all busy. But think about it, if something really is important to you then you find time to make it happen. Running a marathon was important to me, so I found time to train for it. Writing books is also important to me, so you know what? I carve out the time.
Here's how I do it:
Pre-Prepped Food - It may seem counter intuitive to some people to take an entire morning or afternoon to prepare food for the week, but believe me it's not. You'll even find that you eat much healthier when you've planned your meals ahead.
A Notebook or Planner - For me using a notebook everyday keeps me on track! Some people use planners, those are great too. Just find something that helps keep you accountable for all the things you need to get done. And yes, a bubble bath, a run, a date night, all of those things can be added to your list!
Morning Routine - I cannot emphasis this enough, you must have a morning routine! The way you begin your day is crucial to the rest of your day. So if you begin it by pressing snooze 15 times, chances are you're going to be running behind all day long.
Streamline Your Life - Find ways to make your life a little easier. In this post I talk about tricks I use to cut through the clutter and give me more peace of mind during a busy work week.
