Detroit's Todd Bertuzzi was ejected shortly into the first period of Monday night's game against the Chicago Blackhawks after crushing Ryan Johnson.
Johnson got the puck in the defensive zone and was about to clear it as Bertuzzi charged at him. The Red Wings winger appeared to nail Johnson in the head with his right elbow and arm, slamming the Blackhawks center onto the ice.
Bertuzzi received a 5-minute major and a game misconduct. Johnson returned to the game later in the period. Scroll down to watch the video.
