Arkansas State Troopers were in hot pursuit of a juvenile — who needed a little birthday love.
When no one showed up to Toxey Andrews’ tenth birthday party, a group of Arkansas state troopers sped over to his home to throw him a party he’d never forget.
“If I am remembering right, this is the only birthday that I have had with people coming,” Toxey told THV11.
Toxey’s mom, Angela Andrews, invited 21 of her son’s classmates to his birthday. When none of them showed, Andrews was devastated and went to Facebook to express her frustration.
“On Saturday night, I knew no one was coming, and I posted on Facebook just kind of like an outcry to parents. Just please if your kids get invited to birthdays take them,” Andrews told THV11.
But it wasn’t just Andrews’ Facebook friends who saw the post.
“I guess an Arkansas State Trooper heard about the post, and what ensued is the stuff dreams are made of,” Andrews wrote on Facebook.
On April 4, just few days after his birthday bust, Toxey was at home after school when the doorbell rang. When he went to answer it, he was shocked to find a line of state troopers, and a K-9 named Rhino, standing at his door.
“[I was] scared and at the same time trying to figure out why they were here,” Toxey said in the KTHV video below.
The state troopers brought Toxey a cookie cake, tons of presents that ranged from video games to a razor scooter and played a game of b-ball with the b-day boy.
“They showed me all the keys to do the sirens and the horn. I also got to see the cage with the dog in it,” Toxey told THV11.
As for the state troopers who gave big to a little boy, Toxey wasn’t the only one who was beaming after their birthday visit.
“They made my sweet baby's day, and his year!!” Andrews wrote on Facebook. “Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will never be able to repay the kindness you showed my family today!!”
