In a secluded corner of London (or so it seems to this tube traveller), lies Kensington Olympia. This exhibition centre plays host to a plethora of trade and public shows of all stripes and colours. From a to z the shows are as varied as the people visiting and it is here that The Speciality Food Show has made its home.

From Booja-Booja launching their extra special truffle selection to We Love Jelly launching their premium range of cocktail infused jellies, there is a lot for the dessert lover to try. There is everything from Divine chocolate launching their Christmas range from their farmer owned co-op through Crissbiss launching a range of waffle balls on to Saladwork and their new edible flowers, honey with edible gold flakes from Mileeven Fine Foods and landing at Christmas puddings in a box from Mclaren's Pure and Natural.

Naturally, I haven't tried everything but there was such a range on offer, who could and still taste everything at the end. This is, regrettably, a trade only event and in the past when the odd member of the public has squeezed through it has been rather disappointing for them, whereas for the trade this year is particularly exciting.

There is more floor space booked than ever before in the shows history this year (possibly meaning more shops than ever before in attendance), more new products than ever before are being featured as new launches and it looks like more people than ever before may be attending (though as the show is not yet over they don't know yet). While this could mean that there is more good news for economic growth, only time will tell but Speciality Food is especially special this year.
