A Troy city councilman said he hopes to end the city's court fight with the State of Michigan by sponsoring a resolution that supports the state's demand that Troy hold a special election to seat a new mayor.
"I don't think anybody is itching for a court battle," Councilman Doug Tietz said Saturday.
