Undocumented Immigrants Eligible For FEMA Flood Relief

Some residents in Chicago's Albany Park neighborhood might not be taking advantage of federal flood assistance. Officials are especially concerned undocumented immigrants are keeping their distance.

Albany Park was hit pretty hard by Hurricane Ike-related flooding last month. Kim Anderson is a spokesperson for the Federal Emergency Management Agency. She says undocumented immigrants in the neighborhood should not be afraid to ask for financial help.

ANDERSON: Our focus here working in partnership with the state, county and local government is to reach out to everybody who is affected regardless of their social-economic background, the income they make and even if you're not a U.S. citizen.
