WATCH: These Plays Earned $$$ For Miami Football Players

The mind-blowing investigative report into the corruption in the football program at the University of Miami authored by Yahoo! Sports reporter Charles Robinson has ignited a firestorm of controversy and discovery surrounding the program.

After logging months of interviews with former Miami football booster Nevin Shapiro, currently serving time for orchestrating a $930 million ponzi scheme, Robinson has produced detailed allegations involving more than 70 players, including several coaches. The infractions and indiscretions range from cash payouts and entertainment to jewelry and prostitution.

Nestled among the many, many, many shocking off-the-field infractions uncovered by Yahoo!, is revelation that various players allegedly received bounties for on-the-field performance.

Prominent among the former Hurricanes who allegedly received cash bounties for specific on-field accomplishments is Chicago Bears wide receiver and kick return extraordinaire Devin Hester. When asked about the allegations by The Chicago Tribune, Hester insisted that he was only prepared to talk about Bears football.

Despite the best efforts of those involved to change the subject, it seems that Robinson's terrific piece of shoe-leather journalism has opened up a Pandora's box that won't be shut any time soon.

Appearing on 790 The Ticket in Miami, Robinson made it clear that he believes it is the job of journalists like himself to shine a light on a broken system that it is "absolutely forced to correct itself."
