US Open Style Moments: Agassi's Mullet, Venus' Beads And More (PHOTOS)

This...And The US Open's Other Memorable Style Moments

The US Open Tennis Championship kicked off this Monday in New York, and of all the Grand Slams, this one is our favorite. Why? Because style-wise, anything goes.

Unlike Wimbledon, which enforces a strict (mostly) white dress code, the stateside tournament allows players to cut loose in the fashion department. From Arthur Ashes' Buddy Holly-style glasses to Andre Agassi's late '80s bandana-mullet glory to Rafael Nadal's manpris in the mid-2000s, we've seen court style seriously evolve (or devolve? You be the judge). Venus and Serena Williams, who have worn everything from beaded braids, "sneaker boots" and chandelier earrings, are in a category all their own. But it's not just the athletes who are making style statements; courtside fans make watching the event that much more interesting. Case in point: Agassi's glamourous, back-in-the-day girlfriend Brooke Shields or the newsie hat-wearing Olsen twins.

We're highlighting a few of the US Open's many style moments (some good, some questionable) in the gallery below.
