VERNON, Calif. -- Big salaries paid to city officials are under scrutiny in yet another Southern California city.
Records indicate former Vernon city administrator Eric T. Fresch, who now serves as a legal consultant, made more than $1 million each of the last four years.
Documents obtained by the Los Angeles Times show Fresch was paid nearly $1.6 million in salary and hourly billings in 2008 when he held the dual jobs of city administrator and deputy city attorney.
