Viola Davis Looks Beautiful In Black On Cover Of LA Times Magazine (PHOTO)

PHOTO: Viola Davis' High Fashion Shoot

Viola Davis looks stunning in her short natural hair decked out in elegant designer ensembles for the current issue of L.A. Times Magazine.

Although "The Help" star is dressed in head-to-toe black in each photo, she looks ethereal as she strikes some serious supermodel-quality poses.

On the cover, Davis sits confidently gazing up in a lace Marchesa dress with flower detailing. The Oscar nominated actress also gets glam in chic creations by Thierry Mugler, Jason Wu, Costume National and Giuseppe Zanotti.

Here are a few highlights from her interview...

On the difficulty of landing A-list roles in Hollywood:
"That really is our plight, especially as women of color," she says. "You can have all the training in the world, come from a respectable background and yet never get that big opportunity that breaks you out--never."

On her desire to start producing films:
"I am doing this out of necessity," she says. "If I am not the instrument of change, I can meander through this business and be the black woman who always has two or three scenes but with fabulous actors around me."
