What Kids Are Thankful For [PHOTOS]

What Your Kids Are Thankful For

Ask any parent for their gratitude list this time of year, and their children will be up top. It’s instinct and reflex. It’s what it means to be a parent.

It is also our job to teach them to be grateful -- to find awe and beauty in their world and to appreciate what they have. Some days those lessons come more easily than others.

This Thanksgiving, we'd like you to ask your children what they are grateful for and to send us their answers. We will be grateful to you for doing so. The resulting slideshow will capture glimpses of our children’s minds as they learn that the feeling of safety-mixed-with-joy is called gratitude.

To contribute, tweet @HuffPostParents with your child's answer or post a photo on Instagram of them holding up their words and make sure to use #hpthankfulkids.

While we are on the subject, we are also grateful for all of you -- readers who share their parenting journey with us here every day.

Thank you.
