The Exes - Thursday February 2, 8 p.m. ET/PT, Global
This TV Land series debuted in the US in November and finally makes its way to Canada. It stars one of my perrenial favorites, Kristen Johnston ("3rd Rock from the Sun") as a divorce attorney and landlord who is renting the apartment across the hall to three former clients. They include Donald Faison of "Scrubs," Wayne Knight of "Seinfeld" and David Alan Basche of "Rescue Me." Yes, it's basically "The Odd Couple" -- but is a TV Land show after all. You know, the people who brought you "Hot in Cleveland."
Sherlock - Tursday February 2, 9 p.m. ET, BBC Canada
Tonight is the debut of the second season of this award-winning BBC series, but as the first series only has 3 episodes in it, you could easily catch up on DVD or on-demand. It's been described by critics as both totally unfaithful to the original story and completely loyal where it counts. It's also been the launching pad for a massive new talent, Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays Holmes (and the new villain in the upcoming "Star Trek" movie sequel). You'll be seeing him on awards podiums soon -- may as well get to know him.
Ringer - Friday February 3, 10 p.m. ET/PT, Global/The CW
The bitches are back! Sarah Michelle Gellar's evil twins return in the winter premiere of the most unintentionally hilarious show on TV right now. It's like "Revenge" but without the careful plotting -- and I admit that I love it. Tonight, Siobhan-as-Bridget hosts a hoity-toity fundraiser, and Bridget-as-Siobhan plots to sabotage her sister.
Puppy Bowl - Sunday February 5, 6 p.m. ET, Animal Planet
I think everyone knows there's a certain sporting event on TV at this time, but personally, my plans for the day involve tuning in to watch puppies snorgle all over each other. If you haven't seen this annual piece of alternative programming, here's what happens: a bunch of cute -- and adoptable -- puppies are placed in a large pen that looks like a football field and left to play together. At halftime, they're replaced by kittens. The cutest puppy of the event is named Most Valuable Puppy. How 'I can Has Cheezburger' hasn't partnered on this yet, I don't know.
