It is now considered the 21st century epidemic drug problem of our time. Opioid Rx pain killers are killing more than pain; they are killing the people we love. It's an epidemic that is destroying families and eroding communities.

How big is this problem? Well, the U.S. only accounts for 5% of the world's population, yet Americans consume 99% of the world's Vicodin and 84% of its Oxycontin.* The problem is truly epidemic.

Even worse, the fact that Rx opioids are expensive has led to an unforeseen insidious problem... many are turning to heroin, a cheaper option to satisfy their addiction.

As president of Topical BioMedics, a US Marine Corps combat veteran, and skilled researcher with over 4-decades of experience in natural medicine, I have made it my company's purpose and mission to unravel this deadly web of pain killers and addiction to help people get their life back. This is a battle and a war we must win.

My journey's mission started following two tours of duty in Vietnam as a US Marine Corps, helicopter combat/rescue crew chief. I sustained cumulative trauma injuries from the physical demands of combat and performing hundreds of rescue missions of fellow Marines, Air Force, and Navy personnel, as well as humanitarian missions of Vietnamese civilians.

I returned to America, afflicted with severe nerve pain from hyperextension injuries to my hands, wrists and elbows. The nerve pain was so intense it felt like I was intentionally sticking my fingers into an electrical socket... I could only sleep for an hour or so at a time and only if I was sitting up in a chair, with my hands dangling at my sides.

I am grateful to God to have a strong intuition, serving humankind, intense curiosity and thirst for knowledge that drove me to dig deeply into the body's physiology specific to how the body actually heals itself - after all, healing is the ultimate form of pain relief. Because of this knowledge base, I understood the cellular cause of the pain I was suffering from, eliminating surgery and pain pills as options for me. I needed to help my body heal the damage that was causing my pain, not mask the symptoms.

And even in my 20's, I recognized that my fellow brothers returning from combat weren't receiving the care they needed. If we had pain and went to a VA hospital, we were immediately given a script for Rx pain killers. Not made aware of other options, like counselling and integrative therapies, many of my fellow veterans found themselves quickly abusing their pain meds. Along with my suffering and the suffering of my brother veterans, I needed to find an answer.

My theories and experiments led to using select combination of natural biomedicines known for stimulating healing, that eventually became the formula for Topricin pain relief and healing cream technology - a viable 21st century option for doctors and patients, to maximize healing versus traditional pain pills. Along with my colleagues, I am humbled to be a part of a unique and growing community of dedicated caring people to answer our nation's call for ending the perils of pain pill addiction, and restoring hope and quality of life in its place for all people.

This is a complex subject and winning the battle and ultimate war against addiction and preventable death is a must. I ask you to join our army of pain relief warriors determined to help those in need by ending suffering and the deadly side effects caused by painkillers. Then we can see the day where no longer are 15,000 infants born addicted to their moms pain medication; veterans and other vulnerable populations believing that they have no options so opting to choose suicide instead; nor innocent lives lost due to driving under the influence of Rx opioid pain killers causing more car crashes then all illegal drugs combined, and lastly the extended tragedy, for people addicted to Legal drugs who can't afford them, spiralling down to the deadly addiction of heroin.

Each one of us deserves to live a joyful and fulfilling life, doing the things we love with the people we love most.
