World Food Programme: Kenyan Girl, 12, Films Struggles Of Living In Slums (How You Can Help)

WATCH: Kenyan Girl, 12, Films Struggles Of Living In Slums

Molly is a 12-year-old Kenyan girl living in the Mathare Slum just outside of Nairobi -- one of the poorest places in the world.

Every day, Molly walks to a school where she receives a free meal. But last year, she was given something more: A camera.

Molly's World: A Girl Films Her Life In A Nairobi Slum, is a set of videos Molly films herself, highlighting the everyday trials of poverty such as problems with electricity, food and even two unmatching and broken shoes.

"This is my shoe. It is too old, but I can't throw it because I don't have another shoe," Molly says in her second video episode.

If her story inspires you, make your own video about why and how you're fighting hunger. The World Food Programme could highlight you in its newsletter. To upload your video or submit your thoughts, click here.
