Florence Griffith-Joyner was the last woman to break a world record during an Olympic track event during the 1988 summer games in Seoul, South Korea. She blew her own previously set world record in the 200 meter final with a time of 21.34 seconds.

Despite a 24 year hiatus, women have been smashing world records since the games were first televised in 1960. To celebrate the women with wind beneath there feet, here are some of the most epic world records broken in women's Track during the Olympics.
