An Ohio family was devastated when their beloved dog Zoe was struck by a car and ran into the woods. They thought she had gone there to die, but weren't content to give up the search.
Ten months later, a volunteer (among dozens from Love A Stray who had given their time to look for Zoe) found the dog, with collar intact, and returned her to their family.
Christine Makselan, Zoe's owner, gets teary-eyed in a WJW interview, over the compassion and dedication that volunteers had in looking for the dog. CNN picked up the story.
