We've all been there: You see an Instagram photo of one of your favorite celebrities after a workout looking super fit, and you think, Who's working that magic? The most likely answer: a personal trainer who is in even better shape than his or her famous clientele. So we had to ask these A-list trainers: What do you do at the gym? (Because we'd like a little magic, too.) Here are the moves they never, ever skip.

Astrid Swan
Celebrity trainer Astrid Swan is known for her high-intensity boot-camp-style workouts, so it's no surprise she goes hard when it comes to her own. The one move she loves most is dead-lifts. "If you do them correctly, you tighten up the back of the legs--lifting the booty and strengthening your lower back and core!" She adds, "Proper form is key here and I am not afraid to lift heavy with this move (around 65-pound barbells and weights), so I do six rounds of 6 to 10 reps." See how she does it in this video.

Bobby and Alicia Strom
Celebrity trainers (and power couple) Bobby and Alicia Strom say they focus on the booty. Bobby's go-to move is the Bulgarian split squat--A one-legged squat with one foot elevated on a bench or box. Alicia takes it one step further with superman squats, a move that requires balance because you have to lift your leg and hands up while you squat. "Rule of thumb is always do as many repetitions as you can with proper form," says Bobby.

David Kirsch
In addition to training clients like Heidi Klum and Kate Upton, celebrity trainer David Kirsch works out four to five days a week for about 45 minutes to an hour each time, but stays active on his off days too. He says, "On weekends, I'm chasing my six-year-old girls around the city. That's my cardio!" And while he says there are two primary types of workouts with many variations, if there's only one move he can pick, it's the plank. "I always do some sort of plank exercise--whether it's a regular plank or a side plank, I always incorporate it into my workout."

Anna Kaiser
Celebrity trainer Anna Kaiser says she always works out six days a week for about 90 minutes a day (both on her own and with her clients, which include Sofia Vergara, Kelly Ripa, and Shakira). And the one move she loves most is plank jacks. "They always get my entire body revved up and ready to move," she says. Just like it sounds, plank jacks are similar to jumping jacks except you're in plank position. See the move demonstrated by Blogilates founder Cassey Ho in this workout video.

Ashley Borden
Celebrity trainer Ashley Borden says, "The focus in my training is strength, skill, and conditioning." Her favorite move is "Any type of leg move that hits the glutes--weighted lunges, squats, lateral lunges, walking lunges, etc." One move she recommends is the reverse lunge (take a step backward into a lunge, instead of forward), which really activates the glutes. Do 10 reps on each leg, and if you want to make the move more advanced, "Interlace your fingers behind your head," says Borden. You can see her demonstrate it, along with other leg exercises in this video.
