On Friday, CNN ran a segment about Arianna's rise in the business world, during which she sat down with correspondent Poppy Harlow at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland to discuss The Huffington Post's merger with AOL and other topics.

The clip describes Arianna as "a power player on a global scale," and contends that she got where she is today through "business know-how, networking like crazy, and dreaming very big."

"My mother... from a very young age, would tell me never to be afraid of failure," Arianna explains in the interview. "So, in that sense, I was absolutely fine taking risks."

The segment traces Arianna's path from her introduction to American public life in the 1990s to her founding of the Huffington Post. It's part one of a two-part series; the next section will air on Tuesday, March 12.
